The Goulds 5HS05421C Submersible Pump AISI 304 Stainless Steel casing is used in deep well application. The Goulds 5HS05421C well pump is part of the HS series and features 1/2 HP, 12 Stages, best efficiency at 5 GPM, minimum 4" diameter well, motor 115V, 60 HZ, 1 phase 2-Wire. The Two-Wire PSC (Permanent Split Capacitor) Design is quieter than split-phase. The 2-wire motors, capacitor reduces pulsation noise, built-in Capacitor is hermetically sealed. The 2-Wire also eliminates the need of a Control Box.
The Goulds Sand Handling Design features a floating impeller stack which results in a superior sand and abrasive handling and durability.
The Goulds 5HS series are available in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 HP in 3-Wire or 2-Wire.

All ratings are within the working limits of the motor as recommended by the motor manufacturer. Pump can be operated continuously without damage to the motor.

FDA Compliant Non-Metallic Parts
Impellers, diffusers and bearing spiders are constructed of glass filled engineered composites. They are corrosion resistant and non-toxic.
Discharge Head/Check Valve
Glass Filled Engineered Composite discharge head. Check Valve Poppet is made of durable Delrin®, seal BUNA, FDA compliant and Retaining Ring AISI 302 SS
Motor Adapter
Glass Filled Engineered Composite.
Stainless Steel Casing
Polished AISI 304 stainless steel is strong and corrosion resistant.
Motor
- Designed and sized for installation in 4" diameter or larger water wells
- Three wire motors are a capacitor start induction run design and require a control box with a starting relay and capacitor.
- Built-in check valve screws into discharge head from the top, easily removed for drain-back systems or replacement without disassembling the pump. Spring loaded, o-ring poppet design for positive seal in all conditions.
- Glass filled engineered composite impellers and diffusers deliver excellent abrasion resistance.
- The 1½ HP and larger control boxes are all CSCR type.
- Control Box: Required on single phase 3 wire models, available in quick disconnect or more efficient CSCR designs
- Motor Adapter: Composite, easy access to motor mounting nuts using standard open end wrench
Water Temperature Rating: Rated for continuous duty 86ºF (30º C)
