V-Pack stem
- This type of Shaft seal utilizes polymers in substitution of elastometers.
- The stem is sealed by applying an axial compression setting to a series of PTFE rings positioned between the stem and the valve body.
- The advantage of this seal is that the polymer (virgin PTFE) is not altered in contact with the fluids and can be used in many industrial applications including highly corrosive material.
